Punch problem

Cubase 8.5. I set the punch in locators for Measures 13 & 15. Transport is set for 2 measures before record starts. As it counts off, the red recording comes on a M 13 and I can see it is recording, as I play the desired part. But when I stop the recording to play back, it show recorded track at least a measure before the M13. And if I move that past the part it overlapped, it’s not in time. Keeps happening.

Can you post a screenshot or two showing this.

Tried again, same thing. Supposed to start at M13 and starts earlier, over previous part

Then I thought, since the times signature is the same, I’ll just play the same thing longer and trim it. So I set for a longer punch in, and it punched in even farther ahead. Downbeats don’t even match, have to shift more than a beat to align.

Try clearing the Track’s Retrospective Record Buffer & see if that helps.

[/quote] Retrospective Record Buffer does not come up in a search of the manual. Is that in Cubase 8.5?

Wow. 5 days and a simple punch in and out doesn’t work and no one can explain how to solve?

Sorry, missed that.
