Purchased crossgrade just before sale — any luck with goodwill adjustment?

Hi all,

I purchased the Cubase 15 Pro competitive crossgrade on March 28 (received March 30), and the sale started April 1 with about a $100 price difference.

I contacted the reseller (Best Service), but they confirmed they can’t adjust pricing after purchase.

I’ve now submitted a support request to Steinberg as well (including a follow-up), but haven’t heard back yet.

Has anyone had success getting a goodwill voucher or credit from Steinberg in a situation like this?

don’t kill the messenger…
I would not be happy, too, if I missed the sales by a couple of days. However, I don’t think it is likely that you will get something in return for missing the start of sales. Steinberg has to draw the line somewhere. Otherwise, they will end up stretching every sales period indefinetly.
