A couple of odd behavior changes on q-link on versions 14.0.41 and 15+ on windows
- in pervious versions, one could select multiple tracks (on either the mix or edit windows), browse the dropdown or type in an input or output, then hold alt+shift while selecting the output or or hitting enter.
- NOW - one must hold down alt + shift BEFORE entering the menu, AND when making the selection. I’m having a difficult time adapting to this decades old habit of the original operation. The same behavior is true for sends, sidechains, etc.
- Additionally, when selecting multiple channels on the mixer, previous behavior allowed one to q-link DISABLE, not just bypass, multiple plugins. One would select the channels in question, alt+ shift the power button on the plugins twice (once to disable, another to re-enable) and then let go of poughkeepsie while still holding alt and then disable ALL selected plugins of the same type.
- NOW - there is no way to DISABLE (not just bypass) multiple plugins on multiple channels.
If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it . . . so why was this changed?
