Q-Link send values do not change

When Q-Link is enabled on the Cubase 15 MixConsole, the multiple selected tracks’ send values do not change when a new value is typed in on one of the tracks. The values only change on the track changed. The others remain the same. It’s been like that for a few Cubase versions now. Frustrating if you have quite a few tracks to change! Any chance of a fix soon? Thanks.

Hi,

Do you have the Sends enabled in the Link Group Settings?

Sorry Martin, but Q-Link does not offer a dialog.

This issue has been reported before in the forums. I can reproduce it.

We’re not trying to link channels into groups. We only want to change the Send values of certain channels at the same time in MixConsole. You’re solution doesn’t apply to this, as there are no set ‘groups’ for Q-Link multiple changes. We don’t want everything to change in a group, just whatever we choose at the time. All other MixConsole parameters’ values do change accordingly, it’s just the Send values that don’t. I think it started happening in Cubase 14.

Using Quick Link

You can activate Q-Link to synchronize all touched parameters of selected channels.

Procedure

  1. Select the channels that you want to link.

  2. On the MixConsole toolbar, activate Q-Link.

    Note

You can also press Shift-Alt/Opt to temporarily link channels. In that case, the link is only active as long as you press the keys.

  3. Change the parameters for one of the selected channels.

Result

The changes are applied to all selected channels until you deactivate Q-Link.

Hi,

I was thinking, that the Q-Link settings follow the Link Settings. I was wrong.

Sorry, I was wrong.

Hopefully it’ll be an easy fix.

I’ve also noticed that the option to right click (for the toolbar) and then to left click to access the ‘sizing/time stretch’ options has also stopped working. We now have to click on the actual toolbar at the top of the screen. Not a major problem, but I do prefer the right click option. Any chance we could get that back too please?

Any news on these points? Will we see them in an update?

Hi,

Does it mean, the Q-Link doesn’t work for you at all?

Apologies, I’ve been really busy. No, the Q-Link works perfectly fine on all other things. It’s just the linked channels send values that do not. So if I have, let’s say, 6 channels selected and change the send value of one of the tracks (for instance, -10db to -12db), that is the only value that changes. None of the other tracks’ values change. I have to change them all manually, as if Q-Link was not active.

Hi,

It works for me. Do you have the lated Cubase 15.0.30 update installed?

Yes. But it’s still the same. The send values don’t change

To be clear, for me, send values change using the slider but not entering numeric values

Hi,

Could you please make a short video screen recording?

There you go, Martin. You can clearly see here, the track value I change is the only one that does.

At my place (CB 15 pro latest update) , I can confirm that the send value doesn’t respond to other than the track you’re writing onto, But
they all (Q-linked) reacts to scolling. Select the send value for one and scrolling up and down, they all change.
