Hi Nuendo team,
First of all, thank you for the ongoing work you put into each new release. Nuendo has become an essential part of my workflow. There is, however, one change in Nuendo 14 that has slowed me down considerably.
What changed
- Nuendo 14: When I click the Quantize dropdown, only the first 18 presets are visible. To reach the rest I have to scroll.
- Earlier versions (≤ Nuendo 13): Every saved Quantize preset appeared in a single, full-height list—no scrolling required.
(See the attached screenshots for a direct comparison.)
Why it matters
When composing with micro-rhythms and xen-rhythms I switch grids dozens of times per session. Having the entire list on screen:
- keeps all options visually organized in one glance;
- avoids extra mouse movements / scrolling;
- saves a significant amount of time—especially when auditioning several exotic grids in quick succession.
The new, shorter menu breaks that flow. Scrolling for every non-standard grid quickly adds friction and interrupts creative momentum.
Suggestion
Would it be possible to give users a preference toggle (or at least a modifier-key option) to choose between:
- the compact, scrollable list introduced in Nuendo 14, and
- the full-height list from earlier versions where all presets are visible at once?
That way those who prefer the new look keep it, while users who rely on rapid grid switching regain their older, faster workflow.
Thanks for considering this quality-of-life improvement, and please let me know if more information or test cases would be helpful.
Best regards
