Quantize Drums - Nested Folders

Apologies if this has been posted previously… I’m on Nuendo 14. I posted this on the Cubase forum because I thought there would be more live music recording engineers that would see it, but I got zero response.

I have nested drum folders which contain group routing tracks. A “master” Drum folder, and then a folder (with group routing track within the folder) for kick in, kick out, and kick sub, and then a similar folder / group track for snare top and bottom, and then the same approach for toms, etc.

Is it possible to quantize the entire “parent” folder together for all the drums? I see all the tracks in the sample editor when I’m reviewing the hitpoints, but it looks like only the first group (kick drums in my case) are being sliced and moved. The other sub folders are unaffected.

I know in Pro Tools that tracks can belong to more than one group, and you can select the different groups for different purposes, but I’m using the sub-folder workflow to try to accomplish a similar workflow and efficiency - since Nuendo tracks don’t work like Pro Tools with regard to groups.

Is this even possible? I want to be able to treat them all as one big group for the purposes of group editing in Nuendo.

I think you can still keep all the group routing tracks, but you need to place all the drum tracks you want to quantise together in a single folder. Nothing is stopping you from sub-nesting or folding them further after quantisation is complete.
