So say you play in a snare with your controller and record with retrospective…
Ok, out of the 16 bars , you shorten the midi event to 4 bars by holding the edges of the event and drag to fit the part you want…
Now, you go into the shortened 4 bar event and do a ctrl a & a Q…
Now you have random gunk notes from before the “shortening” of the event in the first part of the bar…
(Notes that wouldnt even fit into the quantization range basically)
Anybody else notice this?
