Hi,
I upgraded my Cubase 13 Pro to Cubase 14 Pro, however I have both on my system. I only need Cubase 14 Pro. Is it alright to uninstall Cubase 13 Pro or is it required for the Cubase 14 Pro?
cheers,

Yes. The installations are completely independent, so you can remove one without impacting the other. Also removing Cubase won’t effect any installed content.
That said, I always keep at least one older version of Cubase installed - just in case something that was working fine isn’t anymore. Kind of like an insurance policy. The program itself is fairly small.
Thank you so much!

I’m about to upgrade from 13 to the latest 14. When you guys updated, did 14 import all your preferences, custom key commands, window arrangements, Project Templates, etc.?
Yes. Each installation of Cubase is independent of the others.
While I’ve never experienced it some folks have had updates which didn’t copy their preferences etc. But I haven’t noticed folks posting with that issue in quite awhile, so hopefully the unerlying cause was fixed. But even when that happened the fix was to copy the needed files from the earlier installation in the Appdata Folder.
So the best course is to leave the previous version installed until you’ve verified the update is working as expected. Then you can delete it whenever. Personally, because I’m lazy, I never uninstall old versions of Cubase - they only go away when a new computer comes along. The programs themselves use very little diskspace.
