Please remind me what I’m doing wrong if I’m in page view with “condensing” selected and it isn’t condensing? Like these staves below? Notice trombones are condensed but not bassoons through trumpets.
Second question, I have a lot of dynamics where there aren’t any instruments playing because of the grouped dynamics. Is my only option to fix this by doing it one by one?
This is a score that I was working on in Sibelius so is musicxml if that matters.

Condensing problems can only be analysed by seeing the file (otherwise it’s pure guesswork)
Can you upload the project (even a cut down version)?
They are not condensing because of the voice crossing. If you set that to unlimited, they will probably condense.
Do you have a reason for distributing the parts upside down? That is with the lowest parts in the first instruments. You do know that’s unusual, right? Usually, trumpet 1 has higher notes than trumpet two and so on…
I don’t. It is just that this was a file imported from Sibelius through xml where I would sometimes explode them incorrectly it seems.
