When I download MIDI files to use for a mockup, many times I encounter this situation:
If you see the short notes all together, they usually come like that when there’s supposed to be a tremolo section. Obviously most virtual strings make a loud mess, even if switching the articulation to tremolo.
So the way I deal with that is to slowly but surely select a few at a time, and press Q to glue them. Problem is, if I select notes that are further in the timeline that are the same note, it’s going to glue in a way that is not the intended, kind of like this:
So in this case, I have to select four C2s and four A#1s, press Q to glue them, and repeat over and over. Not the end of the world, but it adds up to a lot of time wasted.
So my question is, isn’t there a command or macro or something that will achieve this in a second, just as easy as it is to simply select a group of notes and glue them, but will not glue everything like the second screenshot, just each group that is close together, like the first few notes that I had already glued?
