I have created a template to overcome some issues, however I found that now if I create a new tracks they do not follow the template setup.
e.g I have Guitar folder with custom routing and colors. If I add a new track while inside guitar folder the track lands outside with basic color and only routing is applied. Please fix
The tracks in the folder don’t inherit anything from the folder, neither the colour. The routing is also individual, so the tracks in the folder don’t share the same output.
So if you have created a template with group folders you still have to manually do routing and colouring for each new tracks you add to it? That’s such waste of time. Those things should be automatically inherited form the folder settings.
What is the point of setting up a template with folders and all the buses and groups if it only takes adding a new track and you have to do all the routing and coloring again with each and every new track you add to your production?
To be honest, can you please start watching Cubase tutorials or reading the manual?
It is a waste of time to struggle with you all the time if you find a new function that you don’t understand.
You can have a track in the folder when you set up the template. Then, when needed, you duplicate that track so many times you want and they preserve color and routing. I work this way with my templates since years.
But what happens when I duplicate audio track that has other track in it, I delete it from the playlist and drop other file on it. is the deleted audio still there i think it is doesn’t that clutter with unnecessary information?
That is a good example for what I was referring to. It is an unqualified comment regarding your problem.
If you check some basic tutorials, you would know that already.
If these flaws are such a big concern, then the DAW in question isn’t the right tool for your workflow, maybe.
There are two options I can think of, learn the concepts of that DAW or take a different product that fits your workflow.
The behavior has nothing to do with templates.
And I already explainned what is happening. The track gets inserted after the currently selected track, in your video the folder.
Can we stick to your initial problem first? Please.
We can discuss the use cases for the pool and how it works afterwards.
That was retorical qestion I know it is in the pool even if you delete from the playlist.
If those are the options then you do them then. I didn’t ask you for comments if you can’t understand what improvements are. You might as well go back and work in Cubase 1
I know this is what is happening that’s whay I have pointed out this to be a flwed behaviour.
It is part of the problem if you choose to follow workarounds. Instead of correct daw bahavior when you setup things.
