If I cut some part of an existing text (created with shift-x) attached to a note, and then, select another note and do paste, then instead of pasting the cut tex, Dorico paste the last saved copied music instead. I have to invoke poughkeepsie and then paste. to paste the cut text Is this intended ?

You can copy and paste an entire block of text directly using the normal commands (Ctrl+C/V, Alt+Click).
But if you open the text editor to select part of it and copy it (maybe what you describe?), then you’ll need to open the text editor again on the target note and paste the text into it.

I thought copying from inside a text object needs to be pasted inside a text object. Dorico won’t create the text object as you do the paste.
