If I install the 9 Pro trial with all his components can I still use the older versions of Padshop, Retrologue, Halion Sonic SE, Groove Agent (…) when I open the older version of Cubase after the trial expires? Or should I reinstall the versions at that point?

Cubase Pro 9 is using the same version of Padshop and Retrologue as Cubase 8. So no problem here at all. HALion Sonic SE is also OK. Now there is HALion Sonic SE 3 available, but you can use this with any Cubase version. Actually there is a FREE version of HALion Sonic SE 3, you can use with any DAW.
Groove Agent SE, I’m not 100% sure. But 99% I would say, there is the same version in Cubase 9 and Cubase 8. So no problem again.
