Question about using the different tools in SL11

Hey,
I’ve unmixed a song, and found out, that some of the hithat / perc stuff, if mixed into the bass layer.
I’ve unmixed the drum layer, which created the hihat layer, which pretty much contain the stuff I want to remove in the bass layer.

If there some kind of function, that takes one layer, and subtract / extract it from another whole layer. In my case the → bass layer minus the hihat layer?!

You can transfer data locally and manually using the transfer tool, introduced in SpectraLayers 11:

In term of modules, you’re most likely looking for the Imprint module to subtract one layer from another:

Thanks for reply,

I know the new transfer tool , which is a very nice tool, for separating already unmixed layers to new layers, for further cleaning.

I think the imprint tool is the one I need. As you say, to subtract one layer from another. Thats what I’m going to try out
