Question to Steinberg: before Nuendo 15, will there be a release with bug fixes to Nuendo 14.0.40?

I was wondering about that.

And if there will be a release, then when?

There better be a fix for this! And not part of an upgrade either! Otherwise this completeley undermines the credibility of the product and fails the customers base……The headline for the Nuendo product page makes it clear the high standard customers should expect.

A very good question.

I don’t remember if this was true for Cubase 13, but in the past Steinberg would release a final update for the earlier version after the release of the new version. So, maybe there is a final update to be released.

Since Dolby Atmos doesn’t work in that version it is self evident that yes there will be a new release. The question doesn’t even need to be asked.

Nothing wrong with asking the question….it is the answer which is important. Lets hope you’re right Wheels. Inclined to agree in that it will hopefully all get sorted with another v14 maintenance, just a matter of when.

There is no need to ask the question period. Yes they WILL release a new version.

Reasuringly there were as many as 4 updates to Nuendo 13 following 13.0.40 so unless anything has drastically changed, you WILL be right:-)

I wonder if the question would need to be asked if it was about DOP being broken. What do you think?

Maybe, you can articulate problems, with that in another thread so we can understand the problem.

For example, many threads have been made about VCA issues so what is most important, to you?

I can’t imagine it would be easy to create a process whereby 3rd parties are involved, unless there is a baseline VST specification.

Cool,

I am just saying that unless a plug-in conforms to a particular specificaiton, i.e., VST version, then I cannot see how it would work as a plug-in, with embedded host effects, chain.

From Steinberg Release notes…

Cubase 14

November 6th, 2024 – We are excited to announce the immediate release of Cubase 14.

Cubase 13.0.55

March 26, 2025 – The Cubase 13.0.55 maintenance update is immediately available for download via the Steinberg Download Assistant.

I cannot find the same information for Nuendo.

Edit:

I hope there will be a 14.0.41 or so release

I think everyone does.

The radio silence is pretty damn annoying though.

I found my download dates for Nuendo:

Thanks for that, I thought they did.

What an impressively flagged statement.
