Questionable big Performance Issues with Cubase 13 and 14 compared to 12

Hey..Guys, i hope someone can hint me to a solution:

Iam here running Windows 11 on a Threadripper with 24 cores. I also have a Intel 11th gen here. The Result is the same on both machines.

When i try to run BBC SO pro with a Air Studios Reverb on each individual Instrument i run into performance issues and major peaks and cracking in the playback inside of Cubase 14 pro.
After reading over the internet i tried Cubase 13. Cubase 13 turned out to be alot better.
I was able to run twice the amount of BBC Instances combined with Air Studios Reverb.

I also tested if its BBC or Air Studios and indeed the Reverb takes alot of CPU…
In Cubase 13 the max was a full Wood ensemble and a Brass Section… Round about 15 Instruments.

Now comes the bummer: In Cubase 12 pro i was able to play the entire orchestra 43 Instruments before i run into Red Peaks…

As a side test.. → In dorico Pro latest version i can also Run 43 Instruments plus Air Reverbs for each of these. SO how in the world is it possible that Cubase 13 and Cubase 14 Draw Almost twice the amount of CPU?
is it compatibility of the VSTs? In Reaper i am also able to Run 43 Instance… So what has happend? For me personally i am have trouble with upgrading my Computer which has costs 7K and was build in 2021. I am wondering what i can do in Cubase 14 Pro to optimize this ugly performance to be able to come to a performance of Cubase 12 and Dorico Pro.?

Have you verified that you’re using the same audio buffer settings in 14 as you do in 12?

Unfortunately this is also my observation - heavy loaded projects which worked fine in Cubase 12 - they are peaking red in C13 and C14 on performance meter and sound cracks. Same
PC, same audio interface, same bufor setting and other settings. Something has gone horribly wrong with Cubase performance since C13. And it continues in C14. Cubase version 12 was rock solid and till today - when I have project with lot of vst instrument I prefer to work in C12. Frustrating.

Yes same buffer i speak about 1024 and asio guard high.
Cubase 12 is really good. The other versions have a big issue. I tested on two different cpu architectures and the result is the damn same.

So what can it be? Are my workstations from 2021 to old?IS Cubase not compatible with Windows 11? I am wondering

I have the feeling that all the shiny new buttons and the overhaul of the interface is the major cause for the problem. Opening Cubase 12 pro is like 2seconds loading time while cubase 13 takes half a minute while cubase 14 takes 40 seconds for no damn reason.

Loading a track template of bbc pro is like loaded in 10 seconds and in cubase 14 it crashes on every second attemp because of a peak stuttering.

I also tested to deactivate the multithreading in bios on the intel machine to have more single core Performance but this made it even worse.

The problem is happening in Cubase 13/14 and Nuendo 13/14.
All 12 versions have no problem at all!
The audio is not the problem, but I have a huge graphic lag.
(See what happens in the second half of each video)
I discussed this problem with Steinberg and there should be an improvement in the 14.0.30 updates.

Did they told you when this new update will be released?

Really interesting to see. TBH . I have not seen any graphical latency issues like that. But I see that especially after loading a working file or template which has no issues in the first place has some major performance spikes. Besides all the lower performance of 13 and 14. What I mean is that having 10 vsts running in a freshly build project dosent guarantee to be working after reload of the files. Also waiting for 30 minutes in order to make sure all vsts have loaded dosent resolve the issue.

Today I have no doubt anymore that there must be an issue in the code that has survived till version 14.

I have no idea about the release date.
