I have Ablsolute 6 VST Collections that I purchased a while back.
I looked in my Steinberg online account and along with the products listings I have,
It says I own Halion SE.
But when I check my Owned products in the Download Assistant,
It says I have Halion 7 and Halion Sonic 7.
Are these different that what is selling right now on the website for $174.99,
for Black Friday ?
Why is the Halion 7 not showing up in my owned product list,
on the website in my account products owned section?
Sorry, I am a bit confused.
Don’t I own the full version of the actual Halion because I purchased the Absolute 6 VST Collection?
Or is that something completely different?
I don’t want to waste my money if I don’t have to for the Halion that is selling right now on the website.

The reason why it doesn’t shop up as a separate license is because it is NOT a separate license, Halion 7 is part of a collection, namely Absolute 6. Hence, you can’t update Halion 7 separately - you have to update the Absolute collection in case there’s a future Halion 8. Don’t worry, Steinberg will come up with a fair offer if this should be the case
Halion 7 is included in Absolute 6 - you don’t need to buy anything, as you already have it.
The confusion is created because technically you don’t own a separate Halion 7 license - you own an Absolute 6 license which happens to include Halion 7 within it.
About the only time that might matter is if a new major version of Halion is issued, Absolute license owners have to wait until Absolute receives a new major version also to get the Halion upgrade.

The information is very helpful.
I wish that even though Halion 7 is part of Absolute 6,
Steinberg would place it in the owned products list in the accounts section online.
Because I see Halion Sonic there, which is more than 10 years old from when we had the USB auth version.
I just wish important plugins, even though they are part of Absolute, would show up independently in my website account.
But hey I can wish right?
