Quick way to remove player numbers on staff lables?

Hello

I have a score with 3 double bass tracks. Rather than labelling them D.B. 1, 2 and 3, I am labelling them with their role - “D.B. melody” for instance - but Dorico automatically numbers them as well, so I get “D.B. melody 1”. Is there a way to remove this?

Hi Rachel, here are the circumstances in which Dorico automatically numbers instruments. So, one quick way to break the automatic numbering is to put players in separate groups.
