Quicker way to Loading / Unloading VSTs?

Hi,

At the moment I’m using this trick to manage RAM and my project file size quite effectively: Cubase 9: A little trick to reduce file size (and saving times) of big disabled track templates | VI-CONTROL

In the Inspector in the top left group box I’m:

  • Unloading a VST by clicking the ‘Instrument’ box and setting it to ‘No VST Instrument’
  • Loading a VST by clicking the ‘reload track preset’ button.

Are there shortcuts/hotkeys for both of these commands? I’ve had a look in Key Commands and can’t find any.

Hi,

If you don’t know, if there is a Key Command available (or if you can assign own Key Command) in general in Cubase, just cal the function (Load Preset). Then immediately open the Key Command window. The latest command/function is highlighted. If it’s your function, you can assign a Key Command. If not, then it’s not possible to assign a Key Command to this function.
