Is there a way to change the start and end of every event to the same length? I used detect silence and they are all different lengths, but I’d like to select them all at once and move them all according to the nearest grid that works for all of the parts, and then change them. Is there a modifier for that?
Hi,
Yes, it’s possible. Select all of them at once. Change the value in Inspector. Press Ctrl/Cmd + Enter. This will set the absolute value to all selected Events.
Got ya! So, there’s no way to manually do it in real time and drag them and have them snap to whatever position you drag to? You have to look at the bar number you want and type it in?
WHOA! That’s EXACTLY what I was looking for! Thank you! Is this set up by default, or do I have to edit the modifiers to do this? Also, do you just hold option + command while dragging the handles?
Hi,
This is the default setting.
I don´t know if this is the default setting, I changed a lot of my modifiers.
Please rely on Martin´s comment for this.
And Yes, hold option+command while dragging.
So, this is strange! Mine was not set up by default for some strange reason? It says it’s “Command + Option” is being used by “Size By Fade”, but Size By Fade says “Command + C”… I’m not even sure what “Size By Fade means” or does.
I came from Cubase 14 Pro to Cubase 15 Pro and imported my settings. Is this something that maybe wasn’t set up in Cubase 14? Or maybe it got changed?
EDIT: I had to drag the window further to see everything.. The O looked like a C… haha my bad. This being said, I don’t remember changing any of that.
This is “normal” resizing events, a fade keeps its length:
This is resizing with the “Siize With Fade” tool-modifier:
You can change the tool-modifiers to your liking or remember those set up by default.
