trying to figure out how to chop midi notes into into smaller ones.
( In FL studio you can just select a note or group of notes click Ctrl-U and it will chop it up to whatever the quantize is set to )

Switch to the Scissors tool. Hold down Alt modifier on your computer keyboard, and click, where do you want to cut. The cut will be repeated in the very same length for the whole note.
