R.I.P Bert Weedon

Back in the day, Bert Weedon was the name to know if you wanted a guitar book, and apparently may well-known names of today did: Pete Townshend, Eric Clapton, John Lennon and Paul McCartney to name but a few.

He’s quoted as saying: “As I travel up and down the country, I meet many groups who try to blast their way to success with too much noise and not enough talent.” Some of his pupils clearly didn’t take his advice.

Never heard of him, it’s a shame that someone has to pass away to become known to some.

Respect, and RIP.
