After an automatic driver update today (2 May 2023) my Cubase 12 Pro would not start up. It got stuck “initializing video” and soon after just closed down. I checked for any windows updates (run Windows 11) and noticed a driver update done just an hr ago. The driver is for my AMD Radion graphic card and had the identity:
Advanced Micro Devices =, Inc.- Display - 31.0.12044.3
After going in to the Driver Manager and doing a Roll Back to the previous driver the problem disappeared.
