RAM-Disk for Network Users - 2026

Hey Team,

I am writing to follow up on a feature request I submitted last year regarding the addition of a RAM-Disk feature to Cubase.

Currently, I save my projects on a NAS. This workflow is not an issue in Pro Tools because it already includes a built-in RAM-Disk feature. While I now prefer Cubase over Pro Tools due to its superior workflow, the lack of a proper RAM-Disk feature in Cubase is the only thing slowing down my process. In the meantime, I am forced to use SoftPerfect as a workaround.

I would greatly appreciate it if your team could consider adding this feature to future updates so that I can maintain an efficient workflow entirely within Cubase.

Hi, I’m not familiar with this feature. My projects are currently local, but they’re synchronized with my Sinology NAS. This setup works well for me. What are the advantages of using RAM Disk?
