Can anyone tell me why the Perc. 2 inside the box is showing up on this part name? Perc. 1 part does not do this.
Thank you for any help.

I doubt anyone can (definitively) without seeing the file.
Janus,
Is it possible for me to just extract the Perc. 2 part and send it alone as a Dorico file? I am guessing not. I will likely need to send the entire score, correct?
Thank you.
Gary
Copy the file and delete all other Players (though it may help to have Perc 1 and 2)..
You could make a copy of the file, and delete the other players

Got it. I have deleted most of the players and deleted some notes in the remaining parts. Hopefully, this will be enough.
Thanks.
Gary
Perc. 2 part name Label.dorico (1.5 MB)
It’s an instrument change label. You can get rid of it by unticking Layout Options > Players > Instrument Changes > Show instrument change label at start of flow.
You don’t have this label in the Percussion 1 layout because that player only has one instrument (which happens to be a kit). The Percussion 2 player holds multiple instruments.
Aaron,
“Show instrument change label at start of flow” is not checked in my score.
Gary
Is was checked in the reduced score I attached but was not checked in my original score and the Perc. 2 in the box is still there. How did that happen, I wonder.
Hmmm.
Aroon,
Wait. It actually was checked in the original. I was looking at the full score instead of just that part. It is gone now.
Thanks as usual for your expert help.
Gary
TonH,
I just realized what you wrote. I was looking at the score and did not realize I needed to have that part pulled up.
Thanks for your help. I need to make this correction in my template.
You have page overrides in the percussion parts, so changes to the template won’t affect those
And while you’re at it: you have differences between a left hand page and right hand page in the First Page Template of the parts. If that is not intentional, you might want to correct that too.
Thank you, TonH.
I will correct that.
