When I select a region and hit “P” to include that whole region for a bounce (mix down)…I do the bounce but after the main window shows the range as much longer, resulting in dead space in the bounce. What could I be doing wrong here? Cubase 13, on Mac.
Terminology matters : are you talking about ‘range’ or ‘region’ ?
On my end, a range (which can cover several events) is always bounced as expected, using the default P key (Locators to Selection). Same thing for a region (part of an event), but only when BOTH the region creation and its bounce are done from the sample editor.
Are you saying that the left/right locators change position after you perform an Export Audio Mixdown?
That is exactly what is happening, yes. The only way around it I have found is to create a cycle marker named d"Bounce" and use that for the range I want in the Mixdown window…I have screenshots but apparently you can’t post images up here…
In fact today, I noticed that as SOON as I call up the Mixcdown window, in the background a can see the range has expanded even before I begin the mix down. Only way I can do one successfully is to use a CYCLE Marker…
