Range Selection tool colour

I have been playing with the colour scheme for Cubase Pro 15, but have managed to change the range selection colour so that when I use it the range is black!!

I much preferred the light blue / violet colour, so could someone please give me some guidance?

While I think of it, is there a default colour setting for CBP 15 that I have missed?

Hi,

This is the default settings. As far as I know, there is no way to change it.

So how is this achieved from using range selection tool? Obviously the lower image. Below these images is what I get!!

Hi,

Is this, what do you want to get?

This attachment is what I want to be able to get when I use the range selection tool!

Hi,

And you get the same, what I get, right?

Hi Martin,

Yes but, before I played around with the color palette, my tracks didn’t turn black!!

The image I sent you was from a video by a Canadian Cubase user Chris Selim.

Thanks for your patience!!

Hi Martin,

Any ideas yet?

Hi,

I agree, there must be something. Because I had the same Range Selection, as you can see in my screenshot.

I tried to tweak it on the Preferences > Editing Display page. Nothing changed. Then I clicked on the Defaults button (which should set the given preferences page to the default values, not the whole preferences), and I got a semi-transparent view of the range (not black anymore).

But again, while tweaking the Preferences > Editing Display parameters, I couldn’t achieve the setting you would like to get.

Hi Martin,

Thanks for the info. I’m not at my computer, at the moment, but are the default buttons the four small rectangular ones that appear to show different shades of black?

Hi Martin,

Any news ideas/ instruction updates/ solutions to this issue?

It must be possible to achieve what I want because other people, as you have seen, can do it!!!

I think the darkening behaviour is governed by this setting in the Preferences:

Thanks for your reply, but Martin and I had already been through that element of the preferences!

I think Martin refers to this Default button:

Just tried that button…didn’t work!!
