Range tool Alt-drag isn't working

I’m attempting to use the Alt-drag method to copy a selection in Cubase. I select the area with the Range Selection Tool, hold Alt, and drag to create a duplicate of the MIDI/audio events. But it doesn’t seem to produce a copy. It has worked in the past, but it suddenly stop working. Did I fat-finger some setting or is it a bug?

It still works to Alt-drag when selecting the whole event with the Object Selection Tool though.

I’m on version 15.0.30, Windows 11.

Solved: For some reason the “Range Tool Splits Partly Selected Events” was unchecked in the Editing Preferences. Very weird, I never touched that check box earlier. Not sure how it got unselected.
