Raum ni image skin bug on MacOS

Hi there. Sometimes I have this bug of RAUM from Native Instruments. Don’t know why it happens, but heard that not just me have that. Maybe somebody know how to fix it. Not a big problem, but hate it

my setup:
macOS Sonoma 14.8
Cubase 13 Pro

Hi,

What is the bug, please?

Here is version 1.3.7 of Raum on Windows 11 and Cubase 15.

Hi, Martin. Sorry for the long answer. As you can see on my screenshot I have a skin bug when emojis instead of inscriptions under the buttons :frowning:
It happens sometimes..

Hi,

Are you on Intel Mac or with any M processor? Is Cubase running in Native or Rosetta mode?

Do you use built-in screen or external monitor? What screen resolution do you have?

Do you a- Have a game open that has those figures?

or

b- Recently closed a game with those figures?

They appear to belong to a game of some sort…do you use Google Play for Windows by any chance?

The screenshot in the OP looks like MacOS - those 3 little lights at the top left of the plugin window.

I remember seeing another topic about this a while ago. I’m a Windows guy, so I didn’t take much notice.

I wonder if clearing the font cache would help? It’s been years since I ran a Mac, built I remember tinkering like that.

Dice, corn, ATM…gotta wonder where that came from…didn’t see they were on Mac…I have no knowledge of that world and will remain that way

Do you have a VST2 version of Raum installed by any chance? Somewhere in the back of my mind I recall that it’s the VST2 version of Raum that is messing up the fonts on a Mac like @steve said.

In that case:
Open your Plugin Manager (Studio > Plugin Manager) and activate the VST3 version of Raum while unchecking or renaming the path of the VST2 version. Or disable VST2 all together on the top right
grafik

You might need to restart Cubase afterwards.

HTH

Oh man you just made me have flashbacks haha. The old Nord Modular editor used to occasionally freak out and crash because of certain fonts way back in the Mac OS 9 days haha.

I cant even count how many times I was troubleshooting stuff at work in Photoshop/Illustrator/Pagemaker and it ended up being some corrupted font that someone found on a random ‘free font website’..
