I use the Remote control editor to map functions from my VST instruments to parameters to use with my Midi Remotes, but when I try to change the assignments in the RCE and hit apply, the changes are not applied until I restart Cubase. In Cubase 12 the changes are applied at once as expected.
I’m on a Mac Sequoia Cubase 13.0.51 and 14.0.10.
Have you tried adding a new instance of the VST in the same project? I think I recall I’ve seen what you’re talking about, and this was my workaround.
Thank you! That works, but I don’t think I’ll mark it as a solution as it is a rather cumbersome workaround and it should be fixed IMO.
This is not fixed in 14.0.20. @Martin.Jirsak Do you know if they are working on this? It should be a minor thing to fix.
Hi,
Could you please attach a screenshot of the assignment?
It doesn’t really matter which assignment it is. If I add or change an assignment anywhere in the RCE, it is not available to use until I open a fresh instance of the instrument or effect. Here I have just added phaser stereo to parameter 5 and hit apply. It doesn’t work, but it will the next time I open the instrument.
Did the screenshot in any way help you understand and/or replicate the problem?
Not 100% what causes this (I never used different ‘pages’) or if it is the same issue, but things start to get messed up when I have both a plugin QC editor (top screen) and the RCE open.
Using Learn in one or the other usually causes some sort of sync issue between the two pages, as the controllers are supposed to be the same in both pages.
Why would you need to do that?
Well I don’t need to have them both open, but the RCE has the ‘Apply’ feature that the other doesn’t have.
Anyways, all part of good bug hunting fun. I was hoping to find the issue already documented, but so far I don’t get the vibes that it is.
Still not fixed in 14.0.30.
Some news from this ?
It seems it affect Native MK3 integration
