Re activate after system crash

Hello Everyone

First post and I’m a complete beginner to all of this.

I received a free download access code when I purchased my Zoom R16. First installation went without a hitch. I have tried reinstalling after a system crash but I keep getting the following message…

The activation code has been used already. An activation code can be used only once to download or upgrade a license.

Please contact your software vendor to get a valid activation code.

If I go to Reactivate and follow the steps, I get the following message…

Your eLicenser with the number ********** ********** was successfully registered.

Currently, there is no valid Steinberg product license found on this eLicenser.

Is there a glaring mistake I’m making?? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi and welcome to the forum,

Most probably your old Soft-eLicenser had not been registered on your MySteinberg account.

Get in contact with your local Steinberg support. Provide them your MySteinberg email address. They will be able to find your old Soft-eLicenser, and register it to your MySteinberg account. Then you will be able to reactivate properly.
