When I start Cubase, every now and then it happens that it starts re-scanning my entire plugin list. This takes several minutes and today it even came with an iLok popup stating that a Soundtoys plugin (which were previously all running fine) wasn’t activated and that I needed to go online. Does anyone else have this sudden random plugin re-scanning problem when launching Cubase? I am using 8.0.30 but this also happened in the past with previous versions
It happens when the clocks change to and from British Summer Time if you’re in UK. I don’t know the rationale behind it, but it’s been a thing as far back as I can remember.
If you’re still on W7 you can circumvent it by not allowing auto update of your windows time and manually changing it as necessary.
