Reading MP3 LAME header for gapless information

As you should be aware, MP3 is not a gapless format, but the MP3 LAME headers compensate for that, so that gapless MP3 playback is possible in audio players. It would be nice if WaveLab would either

  • Cut off the leading and trailing silence according to the LAME header when opening an MP3 file or
  • At least put loop markers to the audio file when opening it in the editor, so that gapless loop playback of an MP3 file is possible while editing.
