Real Time Guitar Effect while recording

Hello guys

I am not able to hear the effect of the guitar while recording.
I am using the UR22mkII Steinberg sound card, and Cubase 8.5.
And I am pressing the “monitor” button while recording, without succeeding in hearing the reverb or any other effect while recording.
I would appreciate if someone could help.

Questions…
Is the VST Effect assigned to the track you are recording on?
Is the VST effect for the reverb enabled? It needs to be “Enabled” (not bypassed) and have you chosen a reverb preset for the reverb sound you want.
