Real time recording questions

Hi,

  1. will Dorico 3 playback dynamics and articulations the way you played it like it would in Cubase?
  2. Will Dorico 3 playback the what you have quantized as it would in Cubase or only playback the original live recording?

  1. Dorico can preserve note velocities, but you won’t get dynamic notation, obvs. It can produce staccato notes, but I’m not sure what the criterion is.
  2. Dorico quantises the notes in order to display notation, but can maintain the ‘playing positions’ of those notes if you want the original feel. Or you can remove it and have accurate playback as the notation.
