Hello.
I’m on Dorico 5. I need to add an actual underscore in lyrics for I’m using a software that sings lyrics (Cantamus if someone interested) and it needs to be that way. I tried using Edit Single Lyric but nothing changes.
How can I do it ??
Edit single lyric works for me. Be sure that the word is highlighted before selecting the underscore button. If you want to underscore a range of words, James Gilbert gave me this tip (for bold) a few days ago.
“You could create a new paragraph style with [underscore] letters. (Library menu). Once your lyrics are entered, select the ones you want to be underscore. (I find dragging a box around them works fast). Then go to properties and change the paragraph style to the new one.”
Cantamus certainly does not require underscores. I used it for several years and don’t use underscores.
