Very simply, can I use reason rewired into cubase 7. I have Cubase 5 and was very disappointed that it does not support running reason. Before I upgrade I would like to know if it will work or not.

Ehm… what? What do you mean Rewire won’t work…? I’ve run both Cubase 5 and 7 with Reason (4 and 5) over ReWire - no problems at all. Who told you it doesn’t work? Or is it something specific that you are looking for that won’t work?
