Reception midi from the absent track with any controller

Good morning,
I bought Cubase 13 pro for 10 days I connected the midi controller of a Roland keyboard, the signal is seen in the entrance miter at the bottom right, but it does not arrive in the instrument track, not even selecting to the all midi inputs. what should I do? Thank you.
(I’m sorry I can’t speak English, I translated)

Have you activated the Monitor button in the track?

Welcome to this forum.

Well, if you open Studio→Studio Setup→MIDI Port Setup, you should see something like this:

You see here I’ve enabled my Roland’s MIDI Port to the “In ‘All MIDI Inputs’”.

Then, all you have to do is to select the “All MIDI Inputs” as the MIDI in for your instrument track.

I did, but it doesn’t work anyway :sleepy:

I also did this… I think I will have to send a tiket to Steinberg’s technical support because it is a bug…

Anyway, thank you the same for your support

You have MIDI In Activity on the meter bottom right

Check the settings of your Instrument Track

  • Select proper MIDI In Port (from your MIDI Keyboard)
  • Select VST Instrument and preset
  • Select proper Audio Out Channel
  • Activate Rec. Arm & Monitor buttons
  • Observe Track Audio Meter, this should indicate audio signal
