Record always comes on when I click on a track

I don’t really understand why Cubase decided this was preferred behavior, but whenever I click on an audio track, the Record becomes enabled. Why? And how to not have this behavior?

It’s in preferences. I’m not near my computer so can’t say exactly where it is. I personally like it how it is as it means when selecting a midi channel / vsti’s you don’t have to keep enabling to hear it when you play with a keyboard/controller.

Preferences > Editing > Project & MixConsole > Enable Record on Selected Audio Track

There’s also Enable Record on Selected MIDI Track for MIDI and Instrument tracks.
