Hi All – how do you record between locators?

I have in & out locater setup in cubase but when I hit record (Num+*) it still records my guitar even outside the locator

any tips?

Use Punch In and Punch Out, please.

The key is not to hit record but “Play” Cubase will then enter record when it gets to your Punch in point and stop when it gets to the Punch out.

hey guys, yes I’ve read the manual. the thing is it starts recording as soon as I hit num+0. I wanted it to record only between the locators

Hi,

By default, “Num 0” Key Command is assigned to Stop. You probably assigned it to Record. Make sure you trigger Play/Start instead of Record.
