Record into Dorico as if written

Hi,

How would one go about recording into Dorico as if it was written?
I would like the recordings to playback exactly as the written music, so no velocity data, changes in timing etc.

In Preferences > Play > Recording, ensure that ‘Preserve note velocities’ and ‘Preserve note positions’ are unchecked.

If you already have music you have recorded then you can select the notes and choose Play > Reset Playback Overrides to play back as written.

Hi!

Sorry for resurrecting this old thread, just wanted to add one thing:
Having the preferences for recording music in the “Play” menu item was totally counterintuitive to me, as it’s the exact opposite of what I was looking out for.
