Goal: Record video on DaVinci Resolve 16 simultaneously as Singer/Band on Cubase/Nuendo DAW on same Computer.
Issue: the imported artist video is challenging to align with DAW audio (timing/sync).
AUDIO: UA Apollo 8P running Steinberg Cubase Pro 10.5/ Nuendo 10 (DAW) recording artist A/V during the recording session. Note that Nuendo has a SMPTE Generator. UA hardware has Word Clock input/output.
VIDEO: The Canon XF405 pro camcorder options select between Drop Frame (DF) and Non Drop Frame (NDF) time code. HDMI or SDI communicates to the Black Magic; UltraStudio 4K with internal time code. Note that doesn’t have a hardware sync interface.
Video Editing: Production software by Black Magic (BM); DaVinci Resolve 16. Which claims it can sync but, but they don’t support work flow. Still researching.
Is there a 3rd party or known method to sync Drop Frame or Non Drop Frame to Word Clock or Drop Frame or Non Drop Frame to SMPTE?
