I’m using Cubase Artist 12 with a Behringer XR18 / X-AIR ASIO driver on Windows 11.
Recently, newly recorded audio started being placed slightly ahead of the backing track on the timeline. The same project previously recorded correctly.
Current settings:
- Sample rate: 48 kHz
- Input latency: 4.167 ms
- Output latency: 4.500 ms
- Record Shift: 0 samples
- Adjust for Record Latency: ON
I have already tested:
- Constrain Delay Compensation ON – no change
- Adjust for Record Latency OFF – no change
- A completely new audio track with direct XR18 input and no inserts – same problem
The recorded audio is still consistently placed too early.
What could cause Cubase to suddenly compensate the recording position incorrectly in a project that previously worked correctly?
