When recording two separate mono (panned left/right) tracks simultaenously (i.e. micing stereo pair on an acoustic guitar), the numberings on the lane for the recorded takes are somehow ONE number off. Why is that? It would make sense to keep the numbering the same. For example, on take 3 recording, the numbering should be 03 for both of the audio tracks, however, it shows as 03 for one, and 04 on the other. This makes it confusing when comping the tracks when you have many tracks that you’ve recorded. Is there a way to show the same numbering on the same take? Any one experience this issue before?
I’ve just had something close to that: I created two new tracks, recorded on both of them at the same time, and one track numbered the take as 02, and the other as 05; they should have both started at 01.
I wonder if there’s a way we can reset this behavior. This is really bad if you’re doing multi-mic recordings where the numbers should be syncronized - stereo guitar, drum set, live band.
We should be able to tell the track which number to continue with.
