Hi Guys!
So i love my sample libraries and they are crazy hella fun and usualy i dont have this problem because most libraries will automatically open a channel on my instrument and record my automations i make within the plugin whilst im altering sounds. Well sadly thats not always the case.
Ive just recently purchased the new Dystropia by the amazing Heavyocity but when i alter things like EQ or attack or anything IN the library cubase is not recording these alterations im making. Am i making any sense or am i mad? haha.
Im sure there is a simple fix for this but i cant figure it out.
The engine that runs this library is Kontakt. Im currently using Kontakt 7.
I dont have this issue with any other library but this is an issue with other heavyocity libraries i own.
Anybody out there help a dude 0ut? in laymans terms please im a bit slow
Just had this happen whilst playing around trying to figure it out haha
Cubase 14.0.32 64bit2025.10.17 1.15.25.889.dmp (1.6 MB)
This might not be helpful at all because Kontakt programming is way out of my league. Maybe they didn’t write automation on some/many of the parameters.
But you can also map controls to midi CCs right? Would it help to try that? Then you can find that cc in the automation list and treat it like any other plugin automation.

Hi Kearley!
Yeah after going through quite a collection of options i found how to map the automation parameters. I guess the best way is to play around and click stuff. Whats the worst that can happen other than a recieving a DMP file haha and besides, during the process i might stumble upon something else new and exciting its all a crazy journey right?
But yeah what i did was go into the automation options in Kontakt and scrolled down to the “not assigned” section and dragged that not assigned lane accross to the automation knob on the library/plugin and it worked! Yay!
Simple if ya know not so simple if ya dont.
Learning new stuff everyday. Whoop!
