Recording bit rate not sticking to project setting

When starting a new Audio project I select 24 bit as my default setting. I have noticed that if I dont revisit this setting for every new Audi track I create Cubasis defaults back to the 16 bit despite the project setting still displaying 24 bit. Is this a bug? It’s very frustrating to find that having progressed a project part way through that some track recordings have defaulted back to 16 bit despite the setting still displaying 24bit.

This must be a fault as I’ve just determined how it happens. Once the bit rate of a project has been selected it only remains in memory for as long as the project is open. Once shut down Cubasis 3 loses this bit setting and recordings default back to 16 bit despite the screen showing a 24 bit setting.
