I have a Cubase system set up in a room not suitable for recording vocals. I have another room much better adaptable. I’d like to record in the latter space to a digital device that allows me to listen to a reference track for tempo & tuning and record multiple takes, which I could then import to Cubase (sample rate 48,000).
However, in my cursory searches, the devices that offer this capacity have sported a gazillion other features, such as faders, effects, and general audio bling, that I would be paying for, never using, and lugging back and forth.
I’d be deeply grateful if some of you experts could make recommendations.
