Recording electric guitar in Cubase 12

Since updating to Cubase Artist 12 I get a loud hum while recording my Les Paul Standard using amp rack or amp simulator. amp rack is the worst.

No issue, here, using both of them either with a Telecater, a SG or an Epiphone Casino.

Granted, there are presets with more background noise than others. But using ‘clean’ or ‘jazz’ kinds of presets, I have almost nothing, hiss or hum related. Are you sure of your cables, gain and Hi-Z settings ?

Thanks Cubic13. I’ll have a good look at what you have suggested. I never had any problems with Cubase 11.
