Hey everyone,
I do apologise if this has already been posted, but I am admittedly struggling to articulate my question, so I hope you are able to help translate my garbled mess that I’m about to try and explain!
I have created a template with the help of the YouTube tutorials and everything is all good on that side. I used to use FL Studio where I would have all of my usual guitar tracks and I would be able to record a part using a distorted tone, put that in the Rhythm L channel, but then I would also be able to record a clean part and place that into the Rhythm L channel, with both tones still “preserved” if that makes sense? This is all done via Neural DSP Plugins.
I appreciate that this isn’t the “proper” way to do things, but it keeps things simple for me and my PC can handle it. It also helps the project look tidy instead of having dozens of guitar tracks dedicated to a particular preset/tone.
My question is how can I do this on Cubase? Is it just a case of have a recording track with the plugin inserted and then moving it to the desired channel that doesn’t have the plugin inserted that will keep the tone I recorded with?
I am, admittedly, still very much a novice and still learning, but I hope the above makes some semblance of sense and any assistance/tips anyone could give would be greatly appreciated!
TIA!
Jim
