I’ve just got a MR816X and has some problems.
I’m running Win7 x64 and Cubase 5.
Hopefully it is possible to record with it without using the templates that follows with it?
I’ve tried to use it without the templates and I can’t get any sound recorded. I can hear the sound loud and clear when monitoring is enabled on the track in Cubase but nothing is recorded.

of course you can record without using templates. Make sure that you’ve got the latest drivers installed:
